Pressure that adjusts through the night
The Resvent Auto CPAP adjusts pressure automatically between 4 and 20 cmH₂O as the user's breathing changes, instead of delivering one pressure all night. When the airway starts to narrow, for example when lying on the back or in deeper sleep, the device raises the pressure, and lowers it again when it is not needed. Many users find this more comfortable than fixed pressure.
An integrated heated humidifier helps with the dry nose and throat that are common when starting therapy.
The doctor sets the pressure range based on a sleep study; patients should not change the settings themselves.

How is Auto CPAP different from regular CPAP?
Regular CPAP delivers one pressure all night. Auto CPAP adjusts the pressure automatically, within the range the doctor sets, as breathing changes through the night.
Do I need a prescription?
You should have one. A doctor should diagnose the condition and set the pressure range, usually based on a sleep study, before therapy starts.
